Acura AC Compressor
"Acura AC compressor", the heart of an Acura AC system. Luxurious Acura are globally known for their excellence in style, safety & coziness. Hence, Acura is meant to be equipped with reliable auto-parts that do not wear-off easily. Acura AC compressors are one of the important and costly part of Acura AC system. Still if you suspect a damage/ decay of any parts accompanied by noisy dash sounding like slipping belt, along with a burning smell from the clutch, then its your Acura AC compressor.
Gradually all Acura AC Compressors are damaged either by leakage of refrigerant (Freon gas) from the cooling system or liquid contamination in compressed air system. Though Acura Filter systems remove oil and dust, but Acura dryers are required to remove water and thus adjust humidity. Freon is a gas with a low boiling point that easily converts from a liquid to a solid. Although ozone-friendly fluids had come into use still Freon gas is used as a refrigerant in Acura AC compressor. Acura AC compressor is an integral part of Acura AC system which compresses the hot refrigerant gas and controls its flow throughout the system.
The major components of Acura air conditioning systems are:
- Compressor to compress & circulate the refrigerant in the system.
- Refrigerant to carry away the heat (modern cars = R-134 Freon; older cars = R-12 Freon)
- Condenser to change the phase of the refrigerant and hence emit the heat from the car
- Expansion valve/orifice tube to drop the pressure of the refrigerant liquid meter its flow, and atomize it.
- Evaporator to transfer heat to the refrigerant from the air blown across it
- Receiver-dryer to perform functions similar to filter for the refrigerant/oil hence removing moisture and other contaminants
Acura AC compressors are mechanical devices which are meant for compressing and transferring refrigerant gas and not for heating or ventilation functions. The Acura AC system splits into two sides namely a high pressure side (discharge) and a low pressure side (suction). Centrally located Acura AC Compressor takes in low-pressure refrigerant gas from the suction of the system. Low pressure side, suction is basically made up of the evaporator and the receiver-drier. Once the refrigerant is brought to the suction side, it is squeezed and then sent to the condenser where it can absorb the transferred heat. The condenser cools the refrigerant, so that it can again sent back to the evaporator. Thus, they form a closed loop.
Unchecked refrigerant level, improper lubricant etc. are few causes of failure of Acura AC Compressor of your beauty bliss. If you realize that your Acura AC compressor is damaged mere because of your carelessness, better you care next time. To maintain a comfort level of cabin temperature you must equip your Acura car with a world known top quality Acura AC compressors.
