BMW EGR Valve
Each and every systems present in your sedan like ignition system, emission system…………… and combustion system are vital to run your ride smoothly. BMW EGR Valve is that component which is of the essence for both the ignition systems and emission systems of your BMW. Each and every four wheeled BMW sedan models like BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 6 Series, BMW 7 Series, BMW 8 Series, BMW Bavaria……are outfitted with BMW EGR Valve in order to contribute the high performance and peak efficiency. Basically BMW EGR valve is a reduction technique which upholds the proper fuel-air mixture, air pressure and exhaust pressure in every sedan in which they are fitted.
The EGR valve or Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve is a vacuum controlled valve which regulates and times the exhaust gas flow. BMW EGR valve is responsible to funnel down a section of the engine's exhaust back into the engine's combustion cylinders for a second round of combustion to break down Nitrogen oxide into Nitrogen and Oxygen. Apart from this BMW EGR valve also plays an important role in increasing fuel efficiency of your luxury by developing higher cylinder compression without consumption of additional fuel.
Similar to other auto-parts, the BMW EGR Valve is also prone to aging and decaying. No matter whether you're vacuum controlled valve is open/ close it will affect your Audi EGR valve in either way. It may exhibit the manifestations like violent shaking, shuddering and lurching of a car engine; horrible acceleration and rough idling of a car; knocking of EGR valve or sometimes a spark knock; carving of the engine timing; inefficient combustion of fuel air mixture; blocked EGR valve and failed EEPROM programs. There are millions different types of BMW EGR valves like the one which work strictly on vacuum, and others work on a combination of vacuum and pressure. Also, there are mechanically controlled and/ or electronically controlled EGR valve.
Theoretically, a proper running BMW EGR valve may increase the efficiency of gasoline engines via several mechanisms like:
- Reduced throttling losses.
- Reduced heat rejection.
- Reduced chemical dissociation.
It is therefore recommended to always use a 100% synthetic oil like Amsoil, Elf Excelium, Castrol Magnatec, Shell helix… etc. The lumps of carbon deposited in-and-around the exhaust gas entrance should be removed with a sharp object. It is good to maintain a dirt free valve and reprogram the EEPROM on a regular basis. Also, the use of gasoline/ solvents for cleaning purpose is not at all recommended for it will badly affect the diaphragm.
Reduction in unnecessary engine emissions and lessened engine knock can be obtained by a perfect BMW EGR valve, procured from a trusted auto-part manufacturer and is sure to be of advanced quality and excellent craftsmanship.
Today all the branded manufacturers had come up with a unique idea of putting an electronic engine control computers, multiple control inputs, & servo-driven EGR valves in a car mere to improve performance and efficiency without any loss in driving ability/ comfort.
