Cadillac rose out of the remains of the Henry Ford Company when the company broke up and the partners dispersed. The financial backers of Ford wanted to sell of the remains. But they were advised by the appraisers to continue the automobile business. Thus a new company was formed with the name of Cadillac Automobile Company
in 1902. The first model was a 10Hp Cadillac
which was first displayed at the New York Auto Show in 1903.
The USP of the company was precession manufacturing assuring reliability. The Car Model
was a hug hit and the company got more than 2000 orders for that model of Cadillac Car
. Thus Cadillac entered the car market with a bang. After the initial success there was no looking back for Cadillac. It continued to dominate the market and in 1908 it released three moles of Cadillac. In the same year Cadillac also won the Dewar Trophy for most seditious performance and developments in the automobile industry. In 1909 Cadillac became a part of the General Motors Conglomerate.

But this model was not a success because people preferred the gasoline model was easy to use and simple to maintain. Further the quality of diesel available during those times was poor and caused corrosion in the vehicle parts leading to efficiency issues and engine failure.
In 1982 Cadillac introduced the Cimarron whose target audience where the youngsters of the society. But this model was not successful there were cheaper vehicles available in the markets. Therefore its production was discontinued in 1988. Another attempt was made by Cadillac to capture the market at the same time with the introduction of V8-6-4 model. But this Car Model
has so many service issues that led to the loss of face for Cadillac Motor Company
tried its best to revive its image with the introduction of new models like Allante and Seville. But its fortunes changes only in 1999 with the introduction of Cadillac Escalade large and luxurious SUV. This model could meet the expectations of the target audience and the sales soar. Now Cadillac has more than 10 Cadillac Models
