Information on Volvo

Volvo Cars is a division of the Swedish automobile maker Volvo. Known for the safety features and luxury, Volvo cars have been a favourite amongst the car lovers all round the world. The Car company offers some great cars that suit every segment of the car buyers.

Coupe

Volvo C30 - The Volvo C30 was officially unveiled at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. The Volvo Car is already being sold in the UK and Canada market and is all set to make its debut in the US market in 2008. With this coupe version of the S40, V50, and C70, Volvo has targeted the first time Volvo buyers and the youth. The C30 is a three-door, four-seat hatchback version that is powered by I4 and I5 engines.

Volvo C70 - The Volvo C70 is a luxury cabriolet available in both convertible and coupé versions. The Car company is available with a choice of manual or automatic transmission. The latest model of the C70 is available in gasoline engine as well as diesel engine versions that come with variable geometry turbocharger and common-rail direct injection.

Volvo S40 - The Volvo S40 is an entry-level luxury car from Volvo that was launched in 1995. In 2000 the S40 got a facelift and a number of technical improvements were made including improved engine management, direct fuel injection, extra safety features, larger brake discs, new front suspension and steering, revised rear suspension, larger tyres and widening of the track width. In 2004 Volvo introduced the second generation of the car that was built on the P1 platform.

Volvo S60 – The Volvo S60 is a compact executive Car model built on the Volvo P2 platform. The Volvo S60 is the first Volvo to feature a more fluid look, transforming from the boxy Volvo to Curvy Volvo.

Volvo S80 – The Volvo Car S80 is an executive car from Volvo. The first generation Volvo car S80 had one of the world's highest crash test ratings in its category. Built on the Volvo P2 platform this car is available in different versions including 2.0L (4cyl), 2.0L (Flexifuel, 4-cyl), 2.5 L I5 LPT, 3.2 L I6, 4.4 L Volvo Yamaha V8 and 2.4 L I5 turbo diesel. The S80 comes with the option of the Volvo's Personal Car Communicator (PCC) remote control.

Versatility

Volvo V50 – The Volvo V50 is the station wagon estate version of the Volvo car S40. Built on the Volvo P1 platform the wagon comes fitted with the soft "theatre" lighting, translucent "iced aqua" center stack and Volvo Intelligent Vehicle Architecture.

Volvo V70 - The Volvo V70 is the five-door station wagon that can be closely related to the S70, S60 and S80 saloons. First introduced in 1996, Volvo unveiled the Third generation of the wagon in 2007 that targets up market buyers with unique luxury features. Volvo also introduced the cross-country version of the V70 that is known as Volvo XC 70.
